Thousand Trails Campgrounds

Explore Washington’s Coast, Mountains, and More

Leavenworth

From mountains and trails to beaches and boardwalks – Washington State has it all. With twelve campgrounds around the state, a camping trip to explore this Pacific Northwest beauty is an easy feat! From the far north to the southern coast, the best way to see all of Washington is to spend time at our campgrounds here. We will highlight just a few, but for details on each of the twelve, visit thousandtrails.com:

Thousand Trails Chehalis:

The one that started it all – meaning this was the first Thousand Trails campground! Visit Thousand Trails Chehalis and enjoy the Lewis & Clark County Historical Museum, the Chehalis-Centralia Railroad & Museum, and the Chehalis Museum. Outdoor adventure can include the Willapa Hills Trails System, which is good for biking and hiking, paddling or canoeing and fishing on the Chehalis River.

Thousand Trails La Conner:

Thousand Trails La Conner shines in the spring with its annual Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, but when the blooms are gone, there is still plenty to see in the area that include the Skagit Wildlife Area, a beautiful nature area with viewing platforms to see the raptors, waterfowl and shorebirds found here. For history, there’s the La Conner Historical Museum and the Museum of Northwest Art. Festivals include the Holiday Lighted Boat Parade (each December); the Daffodil Festival (each March), and of course, the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival (each April).

Thousand Trails Leavenworth:

Get a little bit of Bavaria without leaving the state. Thousand Trails Leavenworth is home not only to our campground, but also the most charming Bavarian-style village this side of the Alps! The holiday season may be one of the best times to visit Leavenworth as the village is magically lit with thousands upon thousands of twinkling lights and holiday events abound. There is also a Nutcracker Museum and a reindeer farm to get you in the holiday spirit. Outdoor activities here include skiing, snowboarding, fishing, kayaking and hiking.

Thousand Trails Long Beach:

A historic lighthouse, a seafood festival, a kite museum and an idyllic boardwalk await you when you visit Long Beach, Washington. Thousand Trails Long Beach is nearby in Seaview and ready for you as you explore this quaint beach town. The Razor Clamshell Festival is every April, and the Washington State International Kite Festival is every August. The North Head Lighthouse, built in 1898, is open for tours and offers amazing views of the Pacific Ocean and surrounding area.

Thousand Trails Oceana:

Speaking of razor clams, our Oceana campground is considered to be in the heart of razor clam country. Kayak through the Grays Harbor Estuary, horseback ride on the beach, clam at low tide, explore the tide pools or take a whale watching tour. This is a great place to explore the coast!

Tall Chief Campground & Thousand Trails Thunderbird:

Both of these campgrounds are convenient to all things Seattle, including the Space Needle, the iconic Pike Place Market and the interesting Museum of Pop Culture but they are also convenient for the great outdoors like Snoqualmie Falls and the Skykomish River.
