Top Spots for 100 Days of Camping Fun

Did you know that 100 days equals 2,400 hours? Or 144,000 minutes? Or an exponentially fun opportunity to camp, camp and camp some more? Yes, we are officially kicking off 100 days of camping Memorial Day Weekend and we expect to see you camping with us the majority of those 100 days!

So, with so much to offer in terms of our campgrounds in spectacular locations, where do you start to plan 100 days of camping? We’ve got pet-friendly campgrounds and campgrounds with pickleball courts; campgrounds in the mountains, campgrounds by the water and campgrounds with plenty of peace and quiet. Maybe we tackle these from a regional standpoint and if you can stretch your trip to be a cross-country trek, lucky you. If not, you know what’s in your own backyard so to speak, for quick getaways and hopefully a few extended stays! The best way to find out our locations and the specifics of each campground would be to visit thousandtrails.com and check the map to see where you want to head and what’s there. For these purposes, a quick roundup will suffice:

The Pacific Northwest

The Pacific Northwest is always on a bucket-list because of the beauty of the mountains, the woodlands, and the ocean. You can camp all along the Pacific Coast starting from northern Washington to southern Oregon, with highlights to include Mt. Rainier (check out Thousand Trails Chehalis or Thousand Trails Paradise as a camp spot); the historic lighthouses, Oregon’s iconic Haystack Rock near our Thousand Trails Seaside campground, historic Timberline Lodge near our Mt. Hood Village Campground location, or Bend, considered Oregon’s outdoor playground, and camp at Thousand Trails Bend-Sunriver.

California – again from north to south and inland too. We’ve got campgrounds near the city (Thousand Trails Soledad Canyon near Los Angeles, San Francisco RV Resort near San Francisco, and Oceanside RV Resort near San Diego), near major attractions like Monterey Bay (Marina Dunes) or the capital city of Sacramento (camp at Thousand Trails Lake Minden.)
