Bloom Where You Travel This April

Whether you spend the long winter in sunnier climates or in snowy locations, there’s something about spring that has everyone embracing the weather and the spring blooms and blossoms. So, make hay this April while the blooms begin to peak out after a long winter’s nap! Here is a quick roundup of just a few places that sparkle in April:

Orlando, Florida: More specifically, the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival that is running through June 1. Book a camping stay at Thousand Trails Orlando or Encore Tropical Palms and explore this beautiful display of nature. There will be more than 60 topiaries of favorite Disney characters including Toy Story’s Buzz and Woody, “Lightning” McQueen from Cars and Mike Wazowski and Sulley from Monsters, Inc. There will also be different themed gardens including Pluto’s Pet Friendly Garden and Honey Bee-stro Garden which will focus on the importance of honeybees in our environments. The event will also feature a concert series and Outdoor Kitchens will feature garden-fresh cuisine offerings.

Encore Tropical Palms

La Conner, Washington: Don’t miss the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival which will run throughout the month of April. This annual event showcases fields upon fields of tulip bloom throughout the Skagit Valley as well as the annual Tulip Parade (April 11); the Tulip Festival Art Exhibit (April 3-12 in Anacortes and April 16-30 in Mt. Vernon); and the Tulip Festival Street Fair set for April 17-19 in Mt. Vernon. Plan a camping stay at either Thousand Trails La Conner or Thousand Trails Mount Vernon and take in the blooming beauty. An option for a day trip or a short springtime drive is to head over to Port Townsend which was listed by GlobalGrasshopper.com as a top April destination thanks to the wildflower blooms, the charming Victorian architecture and great views of Olympic Peninsula.

Thousand Trails Mount Vernon

Sedona, Arizona: If you look up springtime in Sedona, the majority of travel articles and blogs will say that springtime in Sedona is spectacular as the Red Rock formations seem to glow in the spring sun. Come see for yourself and book a glamping trip to Thousand Trails Verde Valley. Special events to consider include the Earth Day Celebration at Red Rock State Park (April 18); the Sedona Yoga Festival (April 23-26); and the Verde Valley Spring Open Studios Tour (April 24-26) when 50 professional artists in the area open their private workspaces to the public.

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina: Dogwoods, azaleas, irises, gardenias and wisteria are just a few things blooming in Myrtle Beach come springtime. Brookgreen Gardens in nearby Murrell’s Inlet is a great way to see all the pretty flowers as well as all the animals at the Lowcountry Zoo which is also a part of Brookgreen. Book a stay at Carolina Shores RV Resort and explore this beautiful part of South Carolina as it comes alive in April with such events as the Cowboy Beach Bash Festival 2026, set for April 23-26, and is part of the NFL Beach Festival, geared toward football fans with live music and great food or the 18th Annual Dragon Boat Festival with live music, food and drink vendors and paddling competitions.
