With our long history of providing some of the best places to camp around the country, many of our faithful campers have their favorite campgrounds. We figured there’s no better time than the new year to introduce you to some of our newer family members that perhaps you haven’t heard about:
Emerald Isle RV Resort
Located on North Carolina’s Crystal Coast, Emerald Isle RV Resort is an oceanfront resort where you can enjoy proximity to the Atlantic Ocean with some jet ski fun, as well as fishing and surfing. Rent a bike and cycle around or visit some of the area attractions including the North Carolina Maritime Museum, Fort Macon or the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores.
Okeechobee KOA Resort
This Florida resort definitely gets an A for amenities which include a golf course, miniature golf, a putting green, a swimming pool, Bocce ball, pickleball, tennis courts, a dog park, a fitness center, a hot tub and fishing access. In addition to the beautiful Lake Okeechobee, area attractions include Hamrick Butterfly Garden and of course, Everglades National Park.
Thousand Trails Blue Mesa Recreational Ranch
Surrounded by the Rocky Mountains, this Colorado gem of a location is great for the lover of wide-open spaces and outdoor recreation. The area has more than 1000 miles of summer and fall trails for hiking, fat tire biking and horseback riding, plus plenty of lakes and rivers for fishing. The big draw here is Black Canyon of Gunnison National Park, home to some of the steepest cliffs, oldest rock and craggiest spires found in North America. Nearby Crested Butte is known as the Wildflower Capital of Colorado and come summer becomes an amazing color show with all the blooming flowers.
Oceanside RV Resort
Located in the classic California beach town of Oceanside, Oceanside RV Resort is a great spot to camp when you want to explore southern California highlights including all things San Diego, the charming offerings of Oceanside and plenty of time at the beach. Check out the California Surf Museum and the Oceanside Sunset Market, which is open every Thursday evening from 5 to 9 p.m. offering 240 food and retail booths. A drive into San Diego will take about 30 minutes and must-see places here include Balboa Park, the San Diego Zoo and the USS Midway Museum.
Carolina Shores RV Resort
Head to South Carolina’s Atlantic Coast to enjoy all that Carolina Shores has to offer including proximity to Myrtle Beach attractions and onsite fun like a lazy river and beach access. Myrtle Beach has all kinds of fun from amusement parks to 60 miles of beaches. Ride the SkyWheel Myrtle Beach, take a day trip into Charleston, parasail, eat some delicious seafood or enjoy the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade with great ocean views, shops and eateries.
