Sweet Yellow Honey Wine Meade Ready to Drink

Mead, the alcoholic beverage made from fermented honey, has been around for thousands and thousands of years. However, only in the past few decades has its popularity grown in the U.S. According to the American Mead Makers Association, the number of commercial mead makers has increased 650% since 2003. Oh honey, that’s a lot of mead!

So, what’s all the big buzz about mead? See for yourself at these meaderies nearby our campgrounds:

Wildflyer Mead Co. in Lynn Grove, Texas, produces their mead at one of the oldest beekeeping operations in Texas and offers a honey, mead production, and tasting tour that includes tastes of both the estate honey as well as the meads produced.
