You need to see these glamping tents in Monterey

The next stop on our California road trip is Marina Dunes RV Park, in Marina, California. This area is chock full of fun things to do, so this will be an action packed stop! Marina Dunes is right on the beach, so sunrises and sunsets are on the agenda each day, along with hiking, biking, whale watching, and more.

Marina Dunes RV Park has 85 RV sites, two cottages, and five glamping tents. The cottages onsite are next level. The cottages at Marina Dunes offer a giant living room, a kitchen, an upstairs loft with separate sleeping spaces, a first-floor bedroom, balcony, and outside you have enough space to consider it a backyard.

The RV sites at Marina Dunes are all about the details. The sites have fire rings, grills, picnic tables, and some even have paved patios to enjoy an evening by the fire. In addition to cottages and RV sites, Marina Dunes features something truly unique: glamping tents. There are only five onsite, but it’s the best of both worlds when it comes to wanting to spent time in the great outdoors, but also have some of the comforts of home.

We caught up with the assistant manager to find out what makes Marina Dunes RV Park so special, aside from the attention paid to the RV sites, the immaculate cottages, and the Instagram-worthy glamping tents.

“We have some good biking paths, and a lot of people who come like to go biking, golfing; there’s a multitude of different golf courses that are in the area, paragliding, lots of hiking,” she said. “You can [visit] Monterey, and go all the way up into Big Sur. Guests like to do the touristy things, too. Going to Cannery Row, of course in this area, the Monterey Bay Aquarium is a huge attraction, especially for families.”

With such a range of things to see and do in the area, Monterey is ideal for families, couples, and solo travelers alike, and Marina Dunes RV Park is the best place to stay while exploring this beautiful part of California.
