Consider spending this winter spreading your wings in the sunshine. You can still socially distance, you can still work remotely and, most importantly, you may acquire a sunnier perspective for the year ahead! Some sunny climes to consider could include:
Santa Barbara, California: What if you could ride a horse as part of your daily activity? Or stay in a covered wagon? With horse trails and unique accommodations including the covered wagon, a few weeks of winter spent with us at Rancho Oso RV Camping Resort might be just what you need to combat those winter blues. Of course, Santa Barbara is a wonderful place to visit and enjoy the beaches, the architecture, the history and culture, and the nearby wineries.
Mesa, Arizona: With an average annual snowfall of ZERO, it’s a good bet you won’t have to deal with the white stuff if you spend winter in Mesa. What you will have to deal with is sun, golf, and hiking opportunities with average temperatures of 60-70 degrees and lots of time spent outdoors. Fingers crossed, you might even be able to take in some MLB Spring Training events. Make a reservation for an RV site or rental at ViewPoint RV and Golf Resort or Mesa Spirit RV Resort and you’re off to a good start.
Kissimmee, Florida: Yes, you can enjoy the theme parks, but there is also the Everglades, nearby Kennedy Space Center and of course the multitude of beaches, all less than an hour away. Book a stay at Tropical Palms and soak up that sun, poolside or otherwise.
The Florida Keys: Head to The Keys this winter and find your own island in the sun. Winter snorkeling: check. Winter beach time: check. Winter swims with dolphins: check. A visit to The Keys takes the place of that all-inclusive, out of the country tropical trip that isn’t available just yet. No passport needed here – just you, some sunglasses and sunscreen and a sunny smile, which won’t leave your face the entire time you enjoy The Keys. For more sunshine, book a stay at a tiny house or RV site at Sunshine Key Tiny House Village or a colorful cottage at Fiesta Key RV Resort.
Gordonville Texas: The draw here is the mild winter temperatures and the fact that from November to March, Lake Texoma is teeming with catfish. Lake Texoma RV Campground is the perfect place to stay while you cast your line and live like a Winter Texan.
