In addition to just enjoying the ride, horseback riding has many health benefits, including strengthening your core and helping your posture. It’s also good for your mental state as it requires patience and focus to enjoy the ride. Next time you’re looking for a great way to take in the scenery, consider taking the horse! We’ve rounded up a few of the stables near some of our locations that provide guided rides.

Santa Barbara Beach Rides (CA):  Explore the beach or the coastal bluffs astride a horse and see Santa Barbara’s beachfront mansions while catching a gorgeous sunset. Check out the different rides offered at www.sbbeachrides.com. Located in Summerland, the Santa Barbara Beach Rides facility is about 30 miles from Rancho Oso RV Campground.

Green Acres Beach & Trail Rides (OR):  Located less than two miles from Pacific City RV Campground, Green Acres offers a one-hour beach ride, which is suitable for every type of rider,  or a longer ride for a more experienced rider, along the Nestucca River and the dunes. Oregon Beach Rides (OR):  Take the dune trails down to the beach and enjoy a serene horseback ride with guided rides offered by Oregon Beach Rides. The rides begin at Nehalem Bay State Park which is about 25 miles from Seaside RV Campground.

Juniper Hills Stables (TX):  Ride through the beautiful landscape of the Texas Hill Country where your guide encourages you to hop off and take some great photos. Juniper Hills Stables is located about 30 miles from Medina Lake RV Campground.  Visit www.juniperhillstables.com for more information.

Lakewood Trail Rides (VA):  Take a ride through the Virginia countryside with one of several options offered by Lakewood Trail Rides. Eagle Creek Ranch (WA):  Explore the trail along the Wenatchee National Forest with a guided ride through the valley and wooded trail.
