Grilled Peaches Recipe

August is the perfect time to enjoy delicious, juicy, peaches! While peaches have been in season since May, they are at their peak now, in August! Whether you’re perusing your local farmers market, making a stop at your grocery store, or are lucky enough to pick peaches from your own tree, there is no other fruit that’s as summery as a peach.

While peaches are absolutely delicious when eaten raw and ripe and irresistible in pies and galettes, peaches are also incredibly tasty and unexpected when grilled. That’s right – we dare you to try grilled peaches! You’ll really impress your friends when you serve them a glistening plate of grilled peaches and vanilla ice cream or grilled peaches with cinnamon and brown sugar that are charred in all of the right places. Here’s our simple recipe for grilled peaches with a couple of ways to serve them up…

Grilled Peaches

Ingredients & Equipment

Ripe Peaches, halved, with pits removed
Olive Oil
Salt
Grill

  1. Preheat your grill but not too hot!
  2. Prep halved peaches by drizzling high-quality olive oil over their flesh.
  3. Sprinkle salt over the peaches too. The salt will help the natural sugars come out when heated.
  4. Once the grill is hot, but not scorching, place the peaches flesh side down on the grill.
  5. Leave the peaches on the grill for about 30 seconds
  6. Once they lift off, there should be a nice char on them.
  7. Serve warm plain or with a heaping spoonful of vanilla ice cream. Dress it up with granola crumbles (optional.)
