Great Festivals for RVers

At Thousand Trails, we love to get together with family and friends for good food, good music, and a good time! We’ve rounded up some festivals happening this year near Thousand Trails campgrounds. Check ‘em out below!

Reno Jazz Festival, Reno, NV, April 26-28, 2018

Reno, NV, “The Biggest Little City in the World” is also home to one of the world’s most renowned jazz festivals! This year’s Reno Jazz Festival takes place from April 26-28, 2018. The Reno Jazz Festival has been hosting the finest jazz musicians, students, educators, and enthusiasts since 1962. Ticket prices vary depending on the type of performance, so be sure to visit unr.edu/rjf/index.html for more details. All events take place at the University of Nevada Reno, which is approximately an hour and a half from Snowflower RV Campground and about an hour and a half from Tahoe Valley Campground.

Beer, Bourbon, BBQ Festival, Charlotte, NC, May 12, 2018

This is the festival to celebrate beer, bourbon, and barbecue food! The Beer, Bourbon, and BBQ festival is a touring festival and goes to a number of other cities such as Richmond, VA, Virginia Beach, VA, New York City, and more! Sample fine libations from some of your favorite breweries and distilleries and sink your teeth into succulent barbecue foods of all styles. The Beer, Bourbon, BBQ Festival takes place in Charlotte, NC at Symphony Park at Southpark Mall on May 12th, 2018. Visit beerandbourbon.com for detailed ticketing information. 32nd Annual Spring Gulch Folk Festival, New Holland, PA, May 17-20, 2018

The 32nd Annual Spring Gulch Folk Festival is a weekend-long event with music, workshops, sing-along-campfires, dancing, and crafts, all taking place on the Spring Gulch RV Campground from May 17-20, 2018. Kick back and enjoy the music at this family-friendly festival among the scenic Amish country surroundings! There are also plenty of food and craft vendors plus workshops and sing-a-longs. 4 Peaks Festival, Bend, OR, June 21-24, 2018

What started as an idea to have a backyard festival at one of the founder’s homes, has turned into a 40 acre, fifteen bands, two-stage affair! Complete with tents, food vendors, craft vendors, kids areas and more, this festival truly celebrates the music and the people of Bend, OR and the beauty of the Cascade Mountains. The festival takes place on Stevenson Ranch from June 21-24, 2018 and is RV friendly! Stevenson Ranch is located about 20 minutes from the Bend-Sunriver RV Campground.

Monterey Jazz Festival, Monterey, CA, September 21-23, 2018

Just about a one hour drive from the San Benito RV Campground to reach Monterey, CA where every September is the Monterey Jazz Festival. Last year’s headliners included Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea Trio, and Common. This year is the festival’s 62nd and will be welcoming over 500 artists, offering a diverse lineup of jazz artists, from newcomers to living legends. This year’s festival takes place from September 21-23, 2018 and tickets can be purchased via montereyjazzfestival.org.
