Ingredients

  • 1 lb. bag of organic baby carrots
  • 1 head of cabbage
  • 6-8 organic russet potatoes, peeled and cut into cubes
  • 2 Tbsp butter, divided
  • 1 lb. ground pork
  • 2 tsp thyme
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp sage
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • ½ tsp white pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Cut the bottom of the head of cabbage and then divide into smaller quarters place in large pot
  2. Add the carrots and potatoes and cover with water and bring to a boil
  3. While the vegetables boil mix the spices and pork together in a bowl then form into small patties (makes about 9-10)
  4. In a medium saucepan melt one tablespoon of butter, add the pork patties and cook until browned on each side
  5. Strain the veggies and place on a plate, mash gently with a fork and top with remaining butter, salt, pepper or vinegar to taste. Top with sausage patties and serve!
